Quarter Horse

Quarter Horse The American Quarter Horse foundation stock originated from Arab, Turk and Barb breeds. It is the first breed of horse native to the United States. They were developed from crosses of the horses that were brought to the New World. They quickly became known as the quickest horse on a short, straight run. Today, this breed is a very popular horse and is used in everything from rodeo to recreation riding.

Quarter Pony

Quarter Pony The Quarter Pony is an almost exact small replica of the American Quarter Horse. These animals are as heavily built as Quarter Horses, featuring substantial muscular system and characteristic color patterns. Quarter Horses have white lower legs, but color patterns seem to be more varied in Quarter Ponies. Quarter Ponies stand 13.2 hands tall, and they are very good for young riders. Most Quarter Ponies weigh 800-900lbs.
